Kilmegan Experience Tours coming in 2023 …

In the shadow of the spectacular Mourne Mountains overlooking Dundrum Bay lies a picturesque farmhouse and small orchard that is home to Andrew Boyd and his wife Karen. In 1967, Andrew’s father discovered a 70-year-old orchard hidden underneath a six-metre-high wall of brambles next to the farmhouse he had just purchased. As a young boy Andrew grew up eating the apples in the orchard which now provide the main ingredient for his award-winning ciders.
Meet Andrew and Karen at their small garden orchard to learn about the different varieties of apples, with their diverse flavour profiles and characteristics.
Stroll through the bountiful garden orchard over a stream that leads to the cidery to discover the craft behind the creation of Kilmegan Irish Cider.

Hear about Andrew’s personal journey from novice to multi award winning artisan and his ethos of how real cider is made using traditional methods.
Relax in the tasting lounge and enjoy a tutored cider and apple juice tasting accompanied with freshly baked homemade wheaten bread, cheese, local ham and chutneys.
